# Design templates

> Browse the Design surface template gallery by category, preview any template live, and remix it into a project of your own in one click.

The Design surface has a template gallery of generated designs you can preview live and remix into your own projects. The gallery is public: you can browse it signed out, and sign in when you want to remix something.

## Browsing the gallery

Templates are organized by category: SaaS starters, landing pages, dashboards, e-commerce, blogs, UI components, animations, and styles, plus an "All templates" view that shows everything at once. Each template card shows its name, description, and tags, and reflects the template's actual look.

## Preview and remix

Every template supports two actions:

* **Preview**: boots the template so you can see it running live before committing to anything.
* **Remix**: clones the template into a project of your own. From there it behaves like any other ProductOS project: iterate on it in chat, apply your own [design system](/design/brand-and-design-systems), sync it to GitHub, or publish it.

<Note>
  Some templates are paid. Paid templates show their price on the card; buying one unlocks Remix, and templates you have already purchased remix immediately.
</Note>

## Showcase entries

A few gallery entries are showcase-only: proprietary, customer-built projects displayed as proof of what the platform produces. These have a "View live" action that opens the deployed site instead of a Remix action, and they cannot be cloned.
