The YC Spring 2026 RFS, built
Cursor for Product Managers
Cursor gave engineers an AI-native home for writing code. Product managers got twenty disconnected tabs. ProductOS is the AI-native operating system for the other half of the building: customer signal in, shipped product out, with every stage inheriting everything the last one learned.

What “Cursor for product managers” actually means
In Spring 2026, Y Combinator's Request for Startups named the category directly, and partner Andrew Miklas described the wedge in one sentence: “I want to upload a customer interview and ask: what should I build next?”
That's the first agent in our pipeline. AI made building cheap; deciding whatto build is now the bottleneck. A PM's decision today lives across 20+ tools: research in one tab, the PRD in another, designs in Figma, delivery in Jira, and the context dies at every handoff.
ProductOS runs the whole loop on one context layer. The PRD knows the research. The design knows the customer quotes. The code knows why. And your engineers keep Cursor: they pull the full payload (spec + designs + customer evidence + rationale) into their coding session via MCP. One call, zero re-explaining.
One pipeline, five stages, zero context loss
Discover
Real research: competitors, communities, customer signal, ranked into opportunities.
Define
PRDs grounded in your actual codebase: real models, real APIs, real constraints.
Design
On-brand screens born from the PRD, not from a blank prompt.
Develop
Working code, web AND mobile. Ship it in ProductOS, or hand off via MCP.
Deploy
Web hosting, custom domains, App Store and Play Store.
Spec-only tools stop at the handoff. ProductOS covers the loop. And where they end, our MCP server begins: Cursor, Claude Code, and Antigravity consume your context instead of competing with it.
