How is the RICE score calculated?
Score = (Reach × Impact × Confidence) ÷ Effort. Reach is customers affected per period, Impact is value per customer (0.25 = minimal to 3 = massive), Confidence is 0-100%, and Effort is person-months.
When should I use RICE vs ICE?
RICE splits ICE's Impact into Reach and Impact for more granularity, better for larger teams comparing many initiatives. ICE (Impact × Confidence × Ease) is faster for quick triage.
